I have not watched any of the remake series like Rurouni Kenshin, Shaman King, Fruits Basket, Trigun Stampede, etc. The ones I've seen are FMAB which I didn't enjoy the fast pacing of the earlier episodes, and Hunter x Hunter 2011 which I dropped. I do hope that they're going with an entire new cast of voice actors and actresses though, if this is a project that they're planning to do multiple seasons of. |

| @ToG25thBaam As unfortunate as it is, that's eventually going to happen sooner or later with Toei's One Piece. The original VAs are in their 50s, 60s, etc. Still sad that Kizaru's VA passed away, but his new one is just as great. |

| @Rhae Yeah and people are already complaining about Franky's voice actor doing a poor job in the latest arc, they're all getting older at this point. Would rather we get a new set of VAs from the beginning than having to change VAs 5-10 years down the line. |

It is not arguably faster than your and my #1 fav show One Piece man. For me it is the the best Shounen show out there, JJK, Demon slayer, MHA any mid new gen shounen or goated Naruto, Bleach. |

| I think the Toei one will always reign supreme for the nostalgia, but this new one should introduce One Piece to a new era of fans who donโt want to deal with the incredibly long and poorly paced original. Both should be amazing! |

| @OvergrownRover That's not entirely a given, they could do what 2011 Hunter x Hunter did and just slice out a bunch of stuff for the sake of "getting to the good part". Given how One Piece is known for paying off minor things from much earlier, that would be a HUGE bummer |

| This anime is meant to celebrate 25 years of Toei's One Piece according to the teaser trailer. It's not ignoring it. I hard doubt they could even do it unless Toei requested it or gave them the green-lit since they own the rights to the animation of One Piece. It really doesn't make sense otherwise. |
